Data deletion
What the Tekhx app keeps when you connect a Facebook Page, an Instagram or a Threads account, and the three ways to remove it.
What is kept when you connect an account
When a business connects a social account to its Tekhx system so that posts can be published for it, the system keeps:
- the account’s name, its id on the network, its public link and its profile picture link;
- the access token the network issued, stored encrypted and never shown on any screen.
Nothing else is read from your account: no messages, no friends list, no personal profile details beyond the name shown on the account. The data is kept in the system of the business that connected the account, not on a shared Tekhx database. The Tekhx sign-in service that passes the connection to that system keeps no token and no copy of your details.
1. Disconnect it in the system
The business that connected the account can open Brand Profile, then Social media, and press Disconnect on it. The account stops being used at once and nothing more is posted to it.
2. Remove the app on Facebook, Instagram or Threads
You can cut the connection yourself, at any time, without asking us:
- Facebook: Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations (or Apps and websites). Find Tekhx and remove it.
- Instagram: Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. Find Tekhx and remove it.
- Threads: Settings, then Account, then Website permissions. Find Tekhx and remove it.
Once removed, the stored token no longer works and the system can do nothing with the account.
3. Ask us to delete everything
Email support@tekhx.com with the subject Data deletion request, and tell us the account name or link. We remove the stored details and token for that account from every system we run, and confirm by email within thirty days. You do not need to have used the other two steps first.
